Here at Synergy Youth we are dependable. What does this mean? This means we do what we say and say what we do. We show up on time, we notify a couple of days earlier if we are not going to attend. We communicate our issues and concerns because we know that at the end of the day we are a team and depend on each other. Not only are we dependable with our team but we are dependable with our youth. This means that we create an environment of safety and fun.
“5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God [a]is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
1 John 2:5-6 New King James Version (NKJV)
Laugh with Me
Among all the things we do to make Synergy Youth a safe and organized environment its also mean to be fun. After all the planning and rules we also want to have fun! Enjoying each others company, getting to know each other and living life together is what were all about here!
24 Nothing is better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his labor. This also, I saw, was from the hand of God.
Ecclesiastes 2:24 New King James Version (NKJV)
We are teachable. We are open to learning and digging deeper into the wisdom and revelation that the word of God offers. We don't know everything but we have access to the one who “knows all things teaches all things”[John 14:26] this means we seek him out like silver [proverbs 2:4] Not only are we learners of the great teacher but we also teach each other. Being able to learn and teach each other is important.
5 A wise man will hear and increase learning,
And a man of understanding will [a]attain wise counsel,
Proverbs 1:5 New King James Version (NKJV)
God is Love [1 John 4:8], and Christ was the representation of Love for us. So we love others because we remind ourselves to be loved by Jesus. We reach out in love and allows others to love on us. Just as we accept love from God we accept love from others
19 We love [a]Him because He first loved us
1 John 4:19 New King James Version (NKJV).
Trust is a key component in everything we do. We trust each other. But most importantly we trust in God. We encourage taking steps of faith as it pertains to the word and his promises. We are also trustworthy with our youth. This means that we hold ourselves to a higher standard, being an example of christlikeness to our youth.
“5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;”
Proverbs 3:5 New King James Version (NKJV)
Lean on Me
Even though we lean on God we also learn to carry each other's burdens. What does this mean? This means that we cover each other, we pick up slack for each other, we take care of each other's responsibilities so we can take vacations and spend time with our families.
2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2 New King James Version (NKJV)
Be Yourself with Me
Come as you are, we are all new creatures in Christ. We encourage our youth to come as they are but leave a little more like Christ. God call us all to him in order to be transformed into a new creature
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
